Last weekend we were hosted by Barb & Dave at Warbler's Retreat. Just 10 minutes from us in Auckland but well and truly a world away in a lush native bush setting.
We stayed in the cottage which had it's own outdoor bath and the friendly Kererū drop in to say hello.
The food, treats and thoughtfulness that Barb & Dave put into our stay was the best I've experienced at any B&B.
Which is probably why they won the supreme award in 2021 and carry a 5 Star Rating from Qualmark.
I highly recommend it for a couples escape. It's definitely one night of pampered luxury and half day to chill out and explore - checkout is midday!
The little touch of handwritten notes and a takeaway gift really make you feel special.
Definitely a special experience, not just a room. 😉
